What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 204

204!  Good grief already.  So how to join in HERE, how to join in on the anniversary HERE.
And HERE is my shambles.

....the tins are waiting for strips of scrapbook paper and possibly some ric-rac before they make their way into my *cough* laundry room.  They will serve as the pretty part of using stain removal powder.  The little blocks of wood just obscured I think, by the button jar, which is out of position for unknown reasons, are waste pieces that we're using for ATC making at a workshop tomorrow.  These little pieces were a lesson in using a professional sanding drum...honestly, you touch the wood to it and it either flies off in a dangerous and projectile manner, or (worse) in the time it takes to blink, the wood is sanded to within a nat's moustache of your fingerprint location.  Scarey.  But somehow, insanely, quite fun!
Irony is awash over my desk, I jid you not.  The sight of it causes Brenda to tut and sometimes I fear, faint.  She has been known to tick me off about it.  But today's mess is entirely her fault.  See, I spent allocated clearing up time going out to meet her.  How great that was.  You will read about it...elsewhere for now!
Meanwhile.....show me up with your tidy and organised work spaces why don't you.  Post a photo of your current work and surface, put WOYWW in the title and link here.  We'll be round.  It's not like sending the boys round...and nor, I guarantee, is it anything like getting a cleaner in!

  1. Your ATC prep sounds mighty scary to me... so I'm glad you still have your fingertips to type with! Look forward to seeing your altered jars - wonder how long they'll take... ahem! Will look forward to reading Brenda's report of your meeting... have a good day. Helen 3

I am overflowing with WOYWW-ness today...not one but two posts! (Legend got in the spirit!) I even dressed my "real" one up with a new WOYWW button - each week, it feels like I'm picking my WOYWW wardrobe when I play with them!

    Have a great week.

  9. Just the term Professional Sanding Drum is enough to keep me away....but in your wonderful description you didn't mention any REAL bodily harm so it seems you are on your way to mastering the implement. Best of luck on that!!!

  10. You only want to get rid of your fingerprints cos you're an Arch Criminal Mastermind...this desk nonsense is just a front... and back... and sides..... ;-)

  24. Hehehe Julia I have learnt to refresh after I have added my name to the link to find out my true number as when I entered I was 42, but when I refreshed I was 46! So now I will put the right number when I leave a comment. I can't show you my clean and tidy desk as it is not clean and tidy and has not been for quite a while now lol! But I am having so much fun. Have a great week Julia and happy WOYWW.

  25. Hi Julia,
Please keep away from the sanding thingy, it sounds way too dangerous. And I would get a cleaner in, but I would have to tidy up first, and that's not likely to happen any time soon :)

  28. Oh Julia, your narrative always has me smiling and your bomb site too. Not quite got my head around blocks of wood and ATCs but I met up with a crafty friend yesterday and she gave me a block of wood so I am tasked to alter it now - oh Heck! Thanks for this wonderful arena to meet people and have a snoop it certainly got me blogging regularly if not crafting more. BJ#50 (which I will be next year - yikes)

  29. Happy WOYWW. Decorating tins for your laundry room. Now you have got me thinking! When we move into the farmhouse I am going to get my own laundry room, and it would be fab to use my Cameo to cut out words/designs to decorate the otherwise plain white room. Hubby will think me officially mad - but oh well, he probably thinks that anyway. Ali x #29

I have similar in my laundry room ;-) I have mason topped bottles with my coloured and whites liquids in and another for my vinegar which I use as a softener.
