What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 275

Gosh, it's not all Christmas this time.  I like that.  Well, I say it's not...you can see that I've just cut out another of the doll images.  I plan to colour her Christmassy, but I have no idea when that will be done.

This post is bought to you by the miracle of scheduling and erm, me remembering to do it. I'm away today, seeing my beloved parents and it's an early start.  But it's OK, by the time I get there, I'll have shaken off the early morning feeling and be my usual *lovely* self!
Now, you see Copics.  Unused to the point that I could have written my name in the dust on the lid.  Shocking huh.  Prolly will remain unused too - I have to move them off the desk because the sun will get to them otherwise - and if it's not in my line of vision...well, you know.  The iPad stand is stuffed with half made or finished cards that I'm pondering.  The scrapbook paper peeking out at the forefront has a marvellous legal lined but aged page print on the reverse and I used that for something.  I can't remember what, but it's in the 'pondering pile' so am frightened to put the paper away because I may not have finished with it!  You can also see my desk lamp in the 'deployed' position.  Yep, back at work for Mr Dunnit makes me a night time crafter again. Watch out for some slightly wonky colour matching!
Show and tell then. It's easy, and if you want to be blinded by exactly how to - there's a link at the top of this page.  We'll stumble around and visit, and where possible, leave you a comment.  Blatant advertising and self promotion will yield few comments, it's about your desk people, not what you're selling.  And if you could turn off word verification - my word, that helps too! I'll be late, but keep the kettle warm.

I love my copics and can't believe you don't love yours. But the it is a serious commitment to color in with them, and I don't do it every time, cause ts not just a quick swoop of color and I do like fast sometimes

Really enjoyed the tall ships. Love the concept. I could see trying to talk dd and DS into working alongside each other...or talking DH into letting them :). But such a great idea. Making a mental note to go see them next time.

Not sure whats right.. Have fun with your parents? Hang in there? Gook luck? You deide....

Happy WOYWW

I agree, the word verification has to go. And then they have to approve your comment before they post it. What's that about??? I like the idea of the pondering pile. Believe I may borrow that as I always just see my pile as things I want to get to but not right now. If I put the stuff away I will forget about it and most likely where I put it! Diane #16

Hope you have had fun visiting with your parents. Your desk does look inviting to play with the goodies on it as for the dust on the copics mine are probably worse and haven't been used in light years. Hhhmmm christmas girlie, I still have mine to finish that got started at the end of last year, but the big C is approaching fast.

Wow, look at all those Copics, and I am raving about the few I just bought! Send them my way, Julia and you'll have less dust to clean off your desk, haha!

It looks like you have been having a lot of crafty fun : D. I've been making a concentrated effort to use more of the stuff that doesn't get used, so I've been fetching things off shelves before hand. Very unlike me, but it might work for you and your copics lol.

I love the idea of your "pondering pile," lol.

I absolutely refuse to buy even a single Copic marker. Just one is enough to start a collection and they're $7 each around here! So I just keep reminding myself I've got plenty of other things to do. :-)

Your desk looks wonderfully busy this week, even without Christmas stuff.

Happy creating and happy woyww,

Lovely busy desk, Julia. I hope you had a nice day with your parents. I'm not playing WOYWW this week because there's nothing on my desk - I've had rather a bad week health wise and have been spending some time while resting on the recliner, re-installing photos on my blog that had got corrupted, and starting to create some new online albums of my work on Pinterest in the hope of getting a bit more exposure.

Hope you have a good week.

Julia, so sorry I'm just now getting around to the desks! After a crazy and wild Tuesday night, I had a crazy and wild Wednesday. I'm so glad you mentioned night-time crafting. I have a day job, and night-time crafting...if I have the energy...is what I do. It's hard sometimes, and my family doesn't want me holed away in my crafty corner all weekend either. And all this canning is cutting into my crafty time too. But one of these Saturdays, I'm just going to have an entire day crafting--that's the dream anyway. Hugs! Have a wonderful visit with your parents. Sandy Leigh

My pondering pile can grow quite large if at one point I don't sit with a few of the items in front of me and force myself to do something with them now! Even more challenging to use some of my stash of diecuts / cut outs on it.
Usually this sort of action leaves me with 2 new pretty pieces of paper (for background, a small card, to use for diecuts) and some new diecuts or cut outs...A never ending story.
Thank you for hosting the WOYWW - it is inspiring to see new work, and other desks and new machines (I guess your WOYWW also keeps the economy going), and also meet new people.
Debbie / Daqa.
