What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 290

..............................................the Christmas Eve edition!..............................
It is rare gentle Desker, for me to be to feel shame at the state of my desk.  I mean, in 290 weeks I can't honestly say I've ever thought twice about posting a picture of the mess that it habitually houses.

And today is no different.  Here it is, taken in daylight on Tuesday, and unchanged because I couldn't face it after work...it's book keeping and erm, boring.

And here is the key...I probably mean excuse.  Fab stamps huh..great reasoning there.   These two beauties were a gift from our Kay and really, couldn't be more appropriate huh. And if Kay calls mine a creative mess, that's good enough for me!
Now I know how busy you'll be, putting fantastic finishing touches to your Christmas preparations.  But really, if you have a few moments to show us how you leave your desk over the holiday, it would be great if you can join in.  I'm looking forward to actually having visiting time!  As always, put WOYWW in your post title, link here and remember....it's not our visit that counts...I hope you've been good!

  2. I'm more ready today now we have a turkey. But reading yesterday's post I wonder...did you make your own desk calendar for yourself ths year? I am also auguring at what could be googles gift to me. There is simply a box to check to say I'm not a robot! I also realize I didn't put WOYWW in my blog post title...

Happy Christmas for tomorrow, I've not been BAD so hopefully that's good enough :)

  3. I can't talk about mess, I haven't cleared mine up yet...that's for later - right now, I'm headed to the supermarket. At 6 a.m. I must be mad (there's no need to answer that!) Happy Christmas Julia, to you and Mr D and Miss D. xxx

  4. Damn predictive text! Laughing that was. And no, now I need to tick the box that says I'm not a robot THEN fill in the number verification...so more a gift from the Grinch.

  28. I love the quote on the stamp that was gifted by Kay. I wouldn't worry about my desk, since you can also blame it on all the card, tag, ornament and gift wrapping that you may have been working on this season. LOL! Have a very Merry Christmas!

  29. Haha, I should need that stamp! Wonderful!

  32. There never seems to be enough time. Take a breath and relax! I think my favorite quote is "Boring women have immaculate houses" ....If that is true, judging by the state of my house, I should be famously entertaining. LOL

Thank you for all the fun and friendship you have brought across the globe. Do you realise how many people are friends now - as a result of you? It's a pleasure to post on WOYWW every Wednesday (or Tuesday as was the case with me this week) and see friends posting too.
May I once again wish you and yours a very very Happy Christmas. May it be filled with fun and friendship.

  39. Hey! It is Wednesday indeed! I can put a photo of my desk on my blog today and y'all will love it cuz it's heaped.

And you've got the right attitude, no need to be ashamed, show away! Great stamps!!! But what if you have messy idleness? That's what I've got right now.

  40. Love the stamps, Julia. The (excuse) reason works for me! Have a very happy Christmas. Nann 45 (Geez, I wish I was still 45!!!)

  41. My desk is messier then your desk...nah nah nah nah...I have been using it as a dumping ground the past days so it is a mess! Got to agree with the tidy idleness! Hope you and your family have an awesome Christmas. I managed not to get the tree up and don't plan on putting one up at this late date! Vickie #46

  42. You asked: Meanwhile back to the horror....is that squirty bottle an anti-cat-sitting-on-my-chair squirter? surely nay nay and thrice nay?!!!

I replied: Holy Hairballs, Batman!!!! Surely, you jest???! It is to put water on my stamp cleaner pad. The fact it is on stream which would be perfect to controlling cat chaos is merely a coincidence!!!!

  43. Love that text stamp! How fun! And doing bookwork on Christmas Eve... for shame! LOL! Hope you have a wonderful celebration!

  44. Looks pretty normal to me, Julia. I agree with the sentiment on that great stamp!! Only just made it in time this week - I wasn't going to join in because I've been very poorly this week and not really feeling up to all the catching up I've inevitably got to do, but since I was posting to my blog anyway, I thought, what the heck. So hi everyone - with 10 mins to spare before it's Thursday!!

  47. Popping by to wish you and your family a very special Christmas from the other side of the world. It is only now that I realise it was Wednesday...Life is a blurr at the moment. Christmas chaos abounds right now. Nothing unpleasant...just busy being busy. Gardening up a storm, baking, cooking...no crafting at all. My desk is buried! Will do a post next Wednesday maybe...perhaps I should start prepping it now? Mostly cos nothing is going to change on my desk between now and then! Only the pile might get higher and a little more unstable!
