What's On your Workdesk? Wednesday 303...erm, 302

If you're considering becoming a Desker, check out the why and the how HERE and HERE. Its very easy and you've nothing to lose.
EDITED TO ADD: I got the week number wrong...and I really need this week! Sorry!!
If you've been here before, you will without doubt be quite surprised at the clean and tidy state of my desk. I am very well thank you. It is me. I have tidied up after completing the small selection of cards on the surface there.....because Wednesday is also workshop cutting counting and preparing day, so I need the space. Logic, man.

The very dark blue box at left holds paper pads. Not many, because I resist if at all possible. I find them too small really, so they have to be super lovely to make me buy them. There's the circle stencil that I've been using to play about with the bokeh idea...other people's are really lovely.  The postcard with the baby pics is actually an invitation to the young man's Christening...how lovely! Of course my glasses - which very badly need upgrading. And just behind them...2 die cut snowflakes....yes dear Deskers..I'm now in the mood!
So, while I'm counting and cutting, share a view of where and what you're working on; it's fun, it's free and apart from twinges of envy or full on enabling, it's harmless! Please put WOYWW in your post title and make the post about your desk....Cheers!

  4. Funny you should mention your glasses need upgrading. Didn't you mail order the last ones from a place you were happy with? I need to upgrade mine and had planned to chat at crop about them but we both know how that turned out :(

At least it isn't the scary big power tools this week. I've been catching up...

  9. I had written #302 on my post, but changed it, when I saw your linkup... but I have posted with #301 last time. Anyhows, happy WOYWW! I have just started to wonder if I'll need my first glasses, some small texts seemed to jump around in my eyes the other day :)

  10. Ha! I knew I was right on trend with that Bokeh technique business :) Have you tried it yet? And if so, did I miss seeing it? Anyway, some Bokeh stuff on my desk too, but I sure need that circle stencil!

  14. Hi Julia...that sure is a cool clean desk, but it does help when you're about to make a mess with preps for a workshop. I do really like that circle stencil which will be great for the bokeh technique. Seems we are all in need of an upgrade in glasses - mine are always on my face sadly Enjoy your week Cheers RobynO#24

  17. Hard frost and freezing fog here today. You don't want to see my table piled high with left overs from my craftiness do you? No - good - just my craftiness then. x Jo

  19. Thought I'd gone to the wrong place when I saw bare desk (he he). Those cards look lovely but my old peepers can't see them very well, think I need an upgrade as well. I love the colours. That invite's really clever.
Have a great week, I have to dish up dinner cos it's wednesday evening here.

  20. Glad you mentioned paper pads I need to run down to the poundshop and stock up for this Saturday's workshop. I'll get some more 2.5 readers while I'm there. I got some lovely purpley pinky ones last time.

  22. Pretty cards Julia. Snowflakes that is a word I can do without. But a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. I've been wanting to try several stencils, but just no time lately. It's middle of the night, couldn't sleep so thought I'd make a few rounds. Thanks and enjoy your week.

  23. I have just recently started delving into my collection of smaller paper pads - most of which I've accumulated through trading over prizes over the years.

I've come to appreciate them more and more over time, esp when working on smaller things like ATCs, cards and tags - they are also easier to cut into (if you have trouble using up stash) than those larger pads (at least for me)!

Enjoy your WOUWW - enjoy your week!

  24. Good morning! Are you one week ahead of yourself or have I missed a week? It's really crazy having been away for one week and I feel completely out of sync.
That circle stencil is great. I saw a video about bokeh last week. Very interesting. How did yours turn out?
    Have a good week,

  29. The bokeh technique is most intriguing and seems to be taking the community by storm. Once Mr. Mojo returns, it is something I am keen to try myself. I am sorry to say that my surgery has been postponed yet again and we are back without a date. Hopefully it will be soon because I'm more than ready to get this done now.

  31. Hi Julia, your desk is nearly as clean and tidy as mine (because it is empty LOL). Had to smile because I finally put my Christmas stuff away before I went on holiday - I decided that having sat untouched for 6 weeks it was just taking up valuable workspace. Have a week in July earmarked for another bash but my plans seem to be going awry lately. Best not to plan it seems. Happy WOYWW Cindy xx

  36. Oh dear...oh dear....oh dear...when you mentioned needing glasses, it made me think how happy I've been with my new glasses, just recently got new lenses and kept the frames because I love them so and then I just remembered my frames are DOLCE & GABANA!!! Sir Elton has boycotted them, and I love EJ...I even saw his concert right here in Springfield a few years ago and have loved him since I was a teenager and now I'm betraying him. All of this Julia because you mentioned your glasses. Don't tell Sir Elton on me! Love your desk though. Hugs. Sandy Leigh

  39. I am so totally going to hunt down that circle stencil you have. I am not really that impressed with the one I tried cutting with my circle dies... thinking maybe trying a thinnner sheet of packaging and doing it again but, honestly my circle dies have a hard time cutting paper. ( they are one of the first sets I ever got so, I may have worn them out) ~Stacy #59

  51. Good Thursday Morning. Don't worry about the number, I just failed to notice Wednesday at all until the alarm went off at 6.30 this morning for regular Thursday event that I realised I had missed Wednesday altogether. Love the invitation, very good idea.
Thanks for hosting, even if I am not posting.

  52. I'm back again... only four weeks later (and two days, oops!).
It's busy here, but I have been making stuff, so there are a few photos of Wednesday's makes. I'm so late this week that it's Friday - and I'm number 71... wow...

Your desk really does look rather tidy - scary! But there is a lot of Potential visible there - I'm sure we'll see some lovely makes next time!
