What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 400

400. A nice big fat round number. I know it should be a great anniversary type number really, but we do all that on the annual anniversary which is always a very odd, Un-round, sharp looking number! Still, please be upstanding and applauding your very self, for without your contribution this nose around the desks of the world wouldn't happen and although I haven't blogged much since THAT operation, you've stayed with it and frankly, I admire you! So much that this week you get a horrifying close up :
I finally got myself the TH Crazy Birds. No dies, no extras, just the birds; and have spent a couple hours playing. All the black letters are destined for the bin, they were too big in relation to the bird. The TH alphabet die you see is discarded, destined to be placed back in the die store. It wasn't too big, but ohemgee, too fiddly for the phrase I wanted to use. Dirty water still there, but more safely placed. And it might be dirty, but I've used it again. Slattern. Ahem. See the cards I made are on their spines slotted between the clear drawers full of foam pads, stickies etc and the basket that's meant to hold stamps awaiting cleaning. Epic fail on the sorting front then. Oh well. And those two little words just might be the whole reason that I'm not progressing....oh well. Kinda means..it doesn't matter/no bother/it's OK. I'm pretty sure it's because I'm a middle child. Or something.
Anyway, show me your 400th desk will ya?  Put WOYWW in your post title so we can find it easily and then link that post here. Have a lovely 400th!

Our desk sharing would never have started without you being nosy in the first place... we thank YOU for keeping with it all this time!! Love your desk - busy, dirty, bits everywhere... sounds familiar! Don't throw those letters away, keep them, you can use them another day - saves time if you have a box of pre-cut letters... although of course, you never have the one you want... but the idea is good!

Morning Julia. Can you believe that when you first thought up this crazy, fun idea, that 400 editions later, we would all still be showing everyone our mess... err... creative space!! Well done young lady for sticking with it. Well done too, on the wee pile of finished cards - always a good feel when we have some of them, isn't it?!
Take care. God bless.

Now that's what I call an achievement.400! That's a big number with lots hanging in there for most of them but we are still gathering new members so big pat on the back there to you. And what a busy desk you're sharing to celebrate. Hope it's a good week for you.
Hugs,

Hi Julia. LLJ is right, 400 is an amazing achievement - congratulations. I am happy to have been a part of WOYWW - though didn't find you at the very beginning. Your desk looks brilliant - proper creative space - mine always seems to look a boring. Have a great week. Anne x #12

Congratulations to you Julia for your insight in the first place 400 weeks ago and also for keeping us all going through thick and thin and for giving us the tool to share our creations or lack of them as in my case again this week.
I'm going on a workshop at weekend so there will be plenty to see next week I promise. More about it on Friday over at Annie's Friday smiles (Wipso)

A very busy desk today - just what we like to see! Good to have some cards made although I suspect if you are anything like me - the boring inside bits still have to be done!

Hi Julia, Happy 400th WOYWW.

I think thanks are in order to you for thinking of WOYWW and keeping it going. It's been lovely to have a snoop at other crafters desks and their projects give inspiration.

Hope you can get the letters sorted.

As you know I dropped out for two years, what with living in squalor and a ditch for a while...your snooping scheme is one of the very few things I have found still up and thriving after all that time, and of course it has gone on much longer than my egocentric experience of it. It's hard to get worked up about some things, fortunately those things differ in each of us so there is usually someone around to pick up the slack (and perhaps the slacker) so long as you never tire of being Nosy the world will continue to be a slightly warmer place, and you will continue to be made blissfully aware of how happy your little blog makes me each week. Unless I am in a ditch laying drains that week!..much love Dxxx

Happy 400th Julia! Thank you so much for tirelessly hosting WOYWW all this time giving us a venue to convene! Nice mess, but frankly, it would take a lot more to horrify me, LOL!

Marit said...

Congratulations Julia... woyww must be the event that has been around the longest... unbelievable... but then again: noisy people have a long haul (if that is the correct expression?) I love hopping the desk on a regular base and although I don't always have the time to desk hop, I wouldn't wanna miss these Wednesdays anymore. Enjoy your day and all the cheering, happy 400th to you and a big hug from Holland! Marit #21

400 wow that is a serious achievement. Without you I would not have made some good friends both virtual and those in the physical and for that I thank you.

Hi Julia, late today as that awful cold is forcing me to stay in bed later. I agree with Helen about saving the unused die cuts in fact I have ordered some of the wallet pages that Shaz showed us so I can get mine organised. It's so frustrating when you know you've got some and can't find them and lets face it we all have better things to do than go hunting for stuff only to decide we can't find it after all. Have a great woyww anniversary and enjoy your new birds, Angela xxx 24

Just thought I should check again to see if Blogger will allow me to comment. Should have done it prior to the 400th so I could join in but hey ho.

Love the new look blog :)

Happy WOYWW.

Hi Julia,
Congratulations on 400th WOYWW!! Fantastic! I look forward to having a snoop on Wednesdays, even when I'm not taking part. BTW, your desk would have to look much worse than that to scare me!
Do those crazy bird stamps come with matching dies? Worth every penny if they do. (I'm sold on matching stamp and die sets.)
Once again, many thanks for making possible these special world wide friendships :)

Happy 400th dearest Julia - a truly inspired concept and one that has forged friendships as well as given us a very good reason to take a nosey around each week ... elevated us from stalkers to sharers! Worth reaching 400 just for the close-up of your desk! Happy WOYWW'ing to you my darling. Love Debbie xXx

400 postings, thank you so much for all your hard work over the more than 7 years since you started. Without you the crafting world would be a lot poorer.
I know that 'sorting' problem only too well, just doesn't seem to fit with the term 'crafting' does it.
Bless you all you do,

Well, I have not done a very good job participating. I have been gone for several weeks. But great to see you are playing with new things on your desk, not the dirty water... I have the Crazy Birds. I had to have them, and have only used them once, I think. I just don't know what I want to do with them. LOL Have a great day Julia! #43

I like to blame things on me being the oldest, and younger brother getting all the attention. He still does and he's 61! Brat. Anyway, looks like you are having a lot of fun with those birds! I have them too and they are a lot of fun! Congratulations on #400 - that is so awesome. I should look back and see when I started, not 400 posts ago, I know that! Lindart #47

I am barely making it on here for 400--but wouldn't miss it for the world. I love your desk, love all the deskers, and how else can I desk hop around the world with the coolest crafters on the planet? It's all because of you and your glorious creativity--love the birds today!! Hugs! Sandy Leigh #50

Happy 400th!
My desk may be neater, but I love the lived in look yours has. There is always something interesting to look at and admire, envy or giggle over. Although, I will admit that the letter dies look a little to fiddly for me as well :-) And at least your water is still in its container. If it was on my desk it would have been all over everything including the floor!
Have a wonderful week!

Many many thanks to you Julia for starting this gigantic desk hop that we all enjoy and love. I am so glad I have stayed with it since a friend persuaded me to join and I honestly think I have not missed a week. I hope not - hence my clean dirty desk this week.
Stand and take a bow, a big bow Miss Julia, you deserve one. And big thanks to LLJ for standing in when circumstances made it impossible for you to blog with us.

Thank you for your visit today, and in answer, quite a lot of surfaces are covered in different crafts. I do not have a craft room. I have a craft house. Actually, I do normally do my parchment things on my lap in the evening in front of boring telly. xxx Maggie #46

I have been busy with the little family this week so will have to do a belated 400th WOYWW post later I think! BUT I really do want to say thanks for keeping us all on the straight and narrow - well straight-ish and narrow-ish! We all love to get together over our desks each week and we have "met" so many lovely folk. Let's hope we have many more happy WOYWW days and maybe a few get togethers in real life too. xx Jo
