Whats On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 408

I took this in Tuesday's new evening light caused by the clocks going forward. I know it's contentious, but I love it. Makes my evening useable! My work desk, my work room is a shambles. It will have to be tidied, but I know not when. Mr Dunnit is resorting to using my chair as a surface for changing printer paper sizes. I am working on cards that are for workshops and believe it or not, in between everything else, I'm on a bit of a roll! Nothing like new stamps huh, and Shopkeeper Gal keeps ringing to say 'come over and borrow this and this and this and this'. So I do!
Last Wednesday was an epic fail for me, and I am very sorry. I promise to do better this week. Particularly as we have workers coming to do some magic tricks with our solar panels, so I need to be at home and then...Thursday morning at home alone to catch up if I need to. Thursday afternoon and Friday are a write off. That LLJ is coming to play at mine. Can't wait. Meanwhile, there's no shame here, so it certainly doesn't matter what your workspace looks like - do show and tell, I love to imagine myself in your inspired and tidy spaces. Makes Mr Dunnit wistful!

  2. You mean the end of the week is a write off because LLJ is coming? How fabulous - more so for you than anyone. Bet you miss her so much!
You must let us know about those solar panels, how they work ie do they really heat the place up?
    Have a great week.
    Hugs, Neet 2 xx

  9. Hi Julia, Wouldn't it be lovely if you went out one day and when you came back everything was tidy. 'NO' you cry, as you'd probably never be able to find anything:) LOL

Have a lovely time with Jan.

  15. I do love the light evenings, but it's slightly depressing going back to getting up in the dark. Not long 'til we get the best of both worlds. Have a fabulous time with Jan.

  20. Lol Julia! I love the mess. I love all the activity. Great that your days are full, and I hope the solar panels give you lots and lots of saving like ours do! I am sure you and LLJ will have a whale of a time, wading through all the chaos and bringing out of it something of beauty and inspiration haha! Clock changing is OK - just as long as you remember to do it! Talking of epic fails, that was us on Sunday, turning up at church in time for the last hymn. Ah well.

    Happy WOYWW,

  21. I love the new light too (yep, we changed the clock in the Netherlands also) Have a great time at your play-date, say hello to LLJ from me. Happy woyww and a big hug from Holland, Marit #24

  22. don't bother tidying - if your playmate is anything like mine a mess will start ten second after arrival and the aftermath will be lovingly lingering for weeks after... dxxx 25

  23. Hi Julia, no desk this week, I forgot it was Wednesday. Dougs fault- he had to work days instead of nights on Monday for a course, so Tuesday felt like Monday, so epic fail. I did remember to do the clocks Saturday night before bed- the ones that don't do themselves. Did have a pressing reason not to forget, as we were going up to Eldest Son Ants for dinner on Mothers Day.Give LLJ a huge hug from me, you go out & enjoy yourselves, not that you'll need that advice! Huge Hugs, Shaz XxX

  24. Mr Dunnit will have to remain wistful, Julia, my workroom is as much a shambles, if not more, as yours. But then who said creative people were neatniks! How lovely for you that LLJ is coming to play. Have fun both of you. Hugs, Elizabeth x #26

  25. This photo is my area 1/2 the time. I don't get to finish things, like I would like too. Field work is around the corner so now rainy days DH wants to get away, not complaining, glad he asks me. Excited for you and Jan to have some time together, so many of WOYWW bloggers have moved here and there, I'll need new addresses for the ATC exchange. We went on time change 3 weeks ago and I do love it. Have a fantastic time with your friend.

  26. Hi Julia. Truly late to the party today - but got here at last! Have a WONDERFUL time with LLJ - give her my best wishes - what fun you are going to have catching up - poor Mr Dunnit.... Nothing tidy at my place either, you will be relieved to know - not one workspace, but three today!!! Lounge, dining room table, and landing - John always reckoned I'd never manage to keep Buckingham palace tidy, I would fill each room!!
    Take care. God bless.

  28. Thanks for the weekly picture. It always makes me feel better that my desk isn't the only messy one around. But have been sorting a little as have a friend coming next week to see what I have and do. LOL. What a shock she'll have. Keep making your craft and enjoying it. I am. Edna

  29. P.S. Beautiful card you made. I know the feeling you're having about it. When I do a class I feel the same way. I work better at home in my mess as have more room and time to do it.

  30. I am impressed and surprised you have solar panels. ( In my head the UK is raining a lot so, I have the idea there is not much sunshine) This is something we want for us, right now we just have tiny ones that are hooked to batteries to open the gates with remote controls in the vehicles.

oh that is always fun to try new things before you buy them. :) ~Stacy #34

  31. I missed last week, looked back to your post, and wondered what the epic fail was? I must have missed something! Anyway, we turned our clocks back on the 12th, used to it now. Inky likes it because she can stay out longer! Have fun with your new stamps! Must be nice to have someone encouraging you to borrow things! Have fun with your friend, I love playdates! Lindart #35

  34. As far as I am concerned a tidy workspace is an unproductive (and boring) workspace lol
We had our solar panels fitted a few years ago - best decision we ever made :)
    Have a wonderful week :)

  36. Hi Julia
I like daylight saving too, but ours is about to end shortly and the beginning and ending always does my head in. It takes at least two weeks to get the hang of it.
How good to be able to try out new stuff from your friend's shop. My local craft shop has just closed :(
    Hope your week goes well.

  37. Hi Julia, thanks for your late comment - I don't mind how late lol! So glad you like my Infusions experiments. I must say I never thought of running out before I get to use them for "proper" projects haha! Also, you are quite right - I really do like the gesso one. Even if it does look like a mould culture! Not sure if I'll make it to WOYWW this week as I've got a huge amount on and the house is about to be turned upside down when they start dealing with the dry rot under the kitchen floor on Thurs. Have a great week.
