What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 437

Well I'm on it. My real desk is covered in something involving my little sister's birthday, so I can't show ya that. Instead, behold the dining table - tis a workroom extension.....
Me and the Coven are off for a weekend of scrapbooking, deep in the Dorset countryside. So here is the beginnings of getting ready. The photos arrived in double quick time and I laid them out like this last Friday so that I could see clearly and formulate a plan. They are all still there. Not only that, they are a bit more curved now, thanks to a couple of warm days! They are today's priority. Well, till lunchtime, then I'm off to visit my Mama. So whilst I'm doing that, please blog your work desks, link here and let us visit. And don't forget to tell me if you'd like a new WOYWW badge!

  1. I was so busy reading Shaz's post from my reader list, I didn't see the post go live...(mind you, as I had to re-set my whole tv/internet service this morning to get it working I am just glad to be here; you can imagine the disruption to my craft area to get to the socket in the wall!!)
Love your alternative desk and the photos - can't help wondering if you'll get any (never mind all) of them scrapped at the weekend... hope you have a fabulous time. Helen #3

  2. Loving the fabric pattern you have on your table. Photos, seem to be hard to come by. Here in the states to get them printed you use the computer to transfer to shutterfly, then they mail them to you quick service but a process
I've my younger sisters birthday the 20th and got the card started, will be next weeks post. Enjoy a fab time with your weekend of scrapbooking.

  3. Isn't it good to handle real photos rather than flick through them on a machine? Enjoy your coven meet and show us what you did there. Love how we seem to spread to other areas even if we have a dedicated craft room.
BTW rain is forecast for the next two days, what happened to my sunny holiday?

  17. Looks like you'll be busy with all those - I love the process of putting photos in albums rather than keeping them stored on phones and computers. Mind you I've now got about 3 years worth waiting to print out and put into albums - it's definitely a winter job!
    Have a great crop,

  18. The first and most difficult step in the making of a scrapbook album is always the selection of the photos! So congratulations for accomplishing that task! I usually flake out before that LOL. It's because I take too many photos and get overwhelmed by the sheer volume of them, so they safely stay on my hard drive out of sight out of mind. Can't wait to see the finished album! Hope you have a good week, Julia! xx

  21. Lovely, all those photos to choose from! I'm looking forward to doing something similar soon... I am visiting a craft-fair this weekend and plan on buying a new scrapbook-album and create a layout every now and then... it's been too long and I have such lovely photos of my grown-up son (you saw that in my blogpost) - it's a pity I stopped scrapbooking a few year ago so I want to pick that up again for memory-keeping. Have fun at the crop Julia, and thanx for stopping by my blog. Hug from Holland, Marit #18

  22. Think you get more satisfaction from looking at proper photos than those on computer. Love the way our work commands the available space. Enjoy your week. Anickoana #14

  23. Hi Julia, like a few others, I'm wondering just how many will get scrapped- with or without cake crumbs as embellishments may be the main decision! Seriously, have an amazing time, Love and huge Hugs, Shaz #1- not sure how I managed that! XxXx

  24. Hi Julia, I don't envy you choosing from that selection of photos. Hope you are enjoying your visit with your mum. Sarah #24 PS I won't be desk visiting until the weekend as I have so much work to do for school.

  25. What a lovely collection of photos, Julia. Hope you have fun over the weekend. Thank you for your lovely comment - I have met Margaret several times and also her lovely hubby John, and she tries to visit if she's down in our neck of the woods. It's funny, there's time consuming and time consuming! Some things I have endless patience for, but other things I think are too much of a hassle for me! For most of those things, I am more than content to admire the work of others! Thank you for your kind words about my cards - I do find them a bit of a chore but once I get going I usually enjoy it better, but my last effort was fraught with problems, mostly brought on by my generally brainfogged state at the time!

    Happy WOYWW,

  28. Have a great weekend!! You remind me I really need to order some prints from some of my journeys as well; if only to have some images saved in case of computer failure. And maybe they'll make it in a scrapbook! LOL!
