What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 442

Not my workdesk this week, but a view of Sharon, Elsy, Mary and Sally's table top at Sunday's Marython. This was the first card, so only about 10am. Believe me, that busy desk changed into a very busy desk by finishing time! You can just about make out paper angels (the most obvious is in front of the roll of kitchen paper). Each angel was holding a small banner with each attendees name on. Aren't they sweet. And to hold them up, they had a sweetie shoved up their skirts! They were cut from one of Mary's dies. The stamps came from the selection that Mary had bequeathed to us. We sold them after the event, and combined with a raffle to which everyone contributed very generously, we raised £200 to donate to the Hospice in Salisbury where Mary worked for years. It was a great day, and I feel that Mary would have thoroughly enjoyed and approved! My workdesk is still covered in detritus from unpacking and sorting, so it'll keep for next week, to be sure! Show us yours then....it's probably for the first time eve, not to crass a generalisation to say that the majority of desks are starting to reflect a festive ambience!
Please put WOYWW in your post title, and link your blog here. Great stuff.

  2. Happy WOYWW. My contribution to having a festive desk is a few small stars. Going to be writing out charity cards this weekend whilst watching the F1, so the only Christmas card that I have made this year may continue to be the only one! Ali x #3

  8. That's fantastic you raised that amount for charity. I am selling my cards and tags at a craft fair to raise money for The Hospice in December. Exciting!
    Have a fab day!

  12. Your fun time spent has to make one feel good to help out Hospice seems daily people I know are using ours. Really a sweet angel, but I don't know what a sweetie is. I too like that tree, was it fussy cut for the card? And the pretty papers used for the snowflake card, made a stunning card also. How fun to gather doing some fun projects. Enjoy a good week.

  13. Morning Julia, congratulations on you and the ladies for raising such a lovely amount for the hospice - and what a fun way of doing it too. I think Mary would have been delighted. The little angels are delightful and the snowflake card I can just about see on the right of your photo is lovely too. My desk certainly shows I'm in festive flow today, as it will probably do for the next few weeks. Hope you have a happy WOYWW and a great week ahead. Hugs, Elizabeth x - at a rather surprising #16

  15. Hi Julia, A very busy table. The little angels are lovely.

How nice to sell the stamps and you made so much for the hospice.

I'm not taking part this week, as have a lot on, but wanted to pop by and see what you had been up to. Sue

  16. Hi Julia, liking what I see of the snowflake card. It sounds like you all had a great day, and what a brilliant total to achieve. Love that you sold all the stamps used too. Lolled at the angels with sweets up their skirts to make them stand up. Mine would have been flat on her back within minutes, :) Have a lovely week, love & hugs, Shaz XxX#4

  17. I love those sweet little angels and WOWZAH for raising that much money! My desk is 'festive to me' but I'm not into Christmas-creating (never was... ) so there are (and will not) be angels and christmas trees in my atelier... oh, maybe when I get a bit crazy over the next weeks but I doubt that. I'm all into 'Top 2000' creating to the music then, but that's a party in itself... I wish you a warm and happy week Julia! Love from Holland, Marit #18

  21. Always fun crafting with friends. There are days I miss it and others when I'm just happy to shut myself up in the studio. I had to giggle and putting a sweetie up their skirt LOL.
All of I have left of Christmas cards is to make sure sentiments are in the inside. Will be working on that this week so I can get them in the mail.
    Creative Blessings! Kelly #24

  32. Hi Julia, thanks for your visit and lovely comment - sorry to be so long getting back to you. It's been a frantically busy few days dealing with the kitties, knitting socks, and cooking a variety of dishes (freezer fodder) from 4 big pheasants my hubby was given. As a result, no further studio time, but I hope to remedy that this coming week.
